Born and raised in the greater Vancouver Area, Sarah Formosa began her training at Spiral Dance Company and continued her training in San Francisco at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program, where she performed works by Shannon Gillen, Uri Sands, Gregory Dawson, Carmen Rozestraten, Maurya Kerr, David Harvey and Sandrine Cassini. Sarah graduated from the LINES training program in 2016 and as an independent artist has had the opportunity to work with David Harvey, Ralph Escamillian, Heather Dotto, Heather Laura-Gray, Josh Beamish, Jennifer Mcleish-Lewis, Alameda Civic Ballet Company and the response. Dance Company. She is honoured to currently be working with the Vancouver Opera, TWObigsteps Collective, Vision Impure, Raven Spirit Dance Company, Judith Marcuse Projects and Wen Wei Dance Company. In January of 2018, Sarah had her first choreographic residency with Dances for a Small Stage and her work has since been presented by Small Stage and Dancing on the Edge in Vancouver, BC.
