Andrew started his formal training at Danzmode Production, under the direction of Rachael Poirier. Spending many hours at the studio training in a variety of styles, he was able to compete in many local and international competitions. During his training he started his professional dance career working with Partrick Roberge Productions in shows like Pop City, BC Marketers Awards, Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Gala. After he finished his training at Danzmode Andrew was accepted into the Source Dance Company where he spent 2 years training with local and international choreographers like Stacey Tookey, Christian Woodard, Chris Durpre, and Kim Sato. The Source program allowed him to find his passion for the contemporary arts and the following year Andrew was accepted in the Arts Umbrella graduate Program.

At Arts Umbrella he was able find a true understanding of ballet and discovered a new world of contemporary; all thanks to the artistic director Artemis Gordon. Artemis Gordon was able to bring dance artists like Crytstal Pite, Gioconda Barbuto, Leslie Telford, James Kudelka and many more to help create a dance professional. In Andrews last year with Arts Umbrella he was given the opportunity to be apart of a project called “Craft of Embodiment” which was directed by Crytal Pite and Eric Beauchense at The Banff Arts Center in Calgary. He was flown with five other Arts Umbrella dancers and was given the opportunity to work with choreographers like Erica Sobal, David Harvey, Amber Funk Barton, Sarah Foster, and David Albert-Toth. Since graduating from Arts Umbrella, Andrew has had the pleasure to be working Amber Funk Barton with her EDAM residency and her piece called the “The Village” which was shown at Dancing on the Edge. He’s also performed in Small Stages: 34, 35 doing work by Heather Laura Grey, and Heather Dotto. Andrew’s a proud member of twoBigSteps dance collective. In 2019 he’ll be touring “Dialogue’s” by Wen Wei Wang and performing “Ravel” by David Harvey.
